Solar photovoltaic

The photovoltaic modules convert the solar radiation into electric power. The projects integrating this technology are divided into 2 main categories:

•  connected network (whole or part of the production is injected on network EDF)

•  isolated site (the production is stored in batteries)

Solar grid-connected network

The D.C. current generated by the sensors is transformed into alternate by a synchronous inverter. This AC current (50Hz) can then be injected on the electrical grid. Until 36kVA (350m ² approximately), this type of installation benefits from a simplified procedure of connection. Beyond, the installation must be studied with much more attention, and the administrative procedures are more complex.

The building is normally equipped with an electricity meter. A second meter is installed by EDF to measure the energy returned towards the network and a sale contract is drawn up with the user. This meter makes it possible to measure the electric power provided to the network.

Solar “off grid” systems

If the costs of connection to the network prove to be expensive, it is interesting to consider this method of production of electricity.

The solar energy collected by the photovoltaic cells is transformed into D.C. current towards a park of batteries.

These batteries make it possible to accumulate this energy for then restoring it with the residents of the site.

Contrary to the system connected network where the electric power is resold with a supplier of energy, in site isolated this energy is developed on the spot.

Phases of projects statement connected network and isolated site:

FEASIBILITY STUDY

• Evaluation of the solar resource and appreciation of the technical and architectural constraints

• Dimensioning of the system and calculation of the producible one

• Figuring of the investments and assessments of exploitation

TECHNICAL AID AND CONTROL Of WORK

• The Council with the building owner

• Administrative procedures and tender documents

• Follow-up of work and management of the operations of reception and file of connection

AUDIT

• Instrumentation on site and series of measurements

• Checking of producible and the conformity of the installations

NOTE:

The conditions of eligility of the photovoltaic systems to the premium with integration with the frame - 25 c€/kWh in metropolis and 15 c€/kWh in the DOM - are downloadable on the site of the DGEMP:      www.industrie.gouv.fr/energie/electric/pdf/guide-integration.pdf
